\nVery lovely in the dining room this morning – clear river and city views, pleasant temperature. Our choice:\u00a0go big – crab cake eggs benedict –\u00a02\u00a0poached eggs with pacific dungeness crab and maryland blue crab cakes on a\u00a0toasted english muffin topped with hollandaise sauce and herbed country\u00a0potatoes. We are good for the day.<\/p>\n

9 am <\/span><\/strong>explore further Old Sacramento Historic District<\/a>
\nWalking off our breakfast, we sightsee\/stroll through the historic, scenic waterfront area, heading for the Tower Bridge\u00a0to cross to the other side of the Sacramento River.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

10 am<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0find and walk through\u00a0The Barn<\/a>
\nHeading south on Front\u00a0St, we turn right and cross over, walking through the\u00a0Capitol\u00a0Mall\/Tower Bridge Gateway. We turn left onto Riverfront\u00a0St. and there it is.\u00a0This new, wriggly, very unusual wood structure is\u00a0a meeting place, events venue, piece of public art and park all wrapped into one. Very cool – sure to become an area\u00a0icon! It hosts a weekly event series called Friday nights on the Barn that features\u00a0food trucks and music. About 1 mile walk from the\u00a0Delta King.<\/p>\n

\nWe enjoy the scenery on the walk back, then check out. Nice leisurely 2 1\/2 hour car ride home.
